Lizzie Coombes Photographs

These photos were taken in September 2015, just before the firefighters moved out. Space2 commissioned Lizzie to document the fire station and archive the building and working environment before it closed. Lizzie Coombes works as photo artist, documentary and publicity photographer and designer. Key strands of her work are photographing people and spaces and what they say about the people who inhabit them. Lizzie has an alter ego who tweets as Betty Lawless, photographing the beauty in ordinary things, revelling in colour, light and is partial to a little glitter. Lizzie has a long track record of cross art collaboration and innovative community projects in Yorkshire and nationally.
