Volcanic ash from Mt St. Helen’s
“In 1980 my brother and I went on holiday to Washington State, a couple of months after the huge eruption of Mt St. Helen’s.
The area was still devastated and there was ash everywhere. We collected ash from the side of the road and brought it home in a carrier bag for my dad who was fanatical about geology. He made this container to keep the ash safe.”
