Lithuanian Baron Kagan escaped Nazis by hiding in a factory outside ghetto walls. He was holed up with his mother and wife for 3 years. Inventor of Gannex of Elland as worn by Harold Wilson & Nikita Khruschev and became a life peer in 1976. Charged wth tax evasion in 1980 he was convicted of theft and was imprisoned for 10 months and fined £375,000. He lost his knighthood but his peerage could not be forfeited. These are his gallstones.
