Lizzie Coombes was commissioned by Space2 to document the working fire station before it closed down in 2015. Lizzie works as photo artist, documentary and publicity photographer and designer. Key strands of her work are photographing people and spaces and what they say about the people who inhabit them. Lizzie has an alter ego who tweets as Betty Lawless, photographing the beauty in ordinary things, revelling in colour, light and is partial to a little glitter. Lizzie has a long track record of cross art collaboration and innovative community projects in Yorkshire and nationally.
